Stephanie Brown is a mother to a little boy, named Brandon, but she is also the mother of two little angels in Heaven. Recently a friend of hers, Leila, had twins at just 24 weeks. One of the twins, Ewan, sadly did not make it. I believe this is what started Team Pirate Power. With Team Pirate Power, she raised almost $15,000 for the March of Dimes in honor of the twins. After the March of Dimes, Stephanie and her friends started making NICU care packages, basically she makes up bags that have stuff for the parents and the babies while they are in the NICU. She recently paired up with Project Sweet Peas, and is now known as Pirate Power with Project Sweet Peas. This Mama is constantly getting the word out there about infant loss, miscarriage and premature birth. Last month she had a journal drive, where friends and family sent in journals to go into the care packages, and this month she is having a hand sanitizer drive. She has also put together a cook book that people will be able to get just for making a donation.

These is one wonderful person. I recently received one of her miscarriage gifts. My daughter loves the teddy bear angel which is a reminder of her brother. I lost a baby in 09 and if it wasn’t for this organization I don’t know what I could have done! They keep a great communication between the women in need.
