Lisa is a devoted wife and mother of an active two year old! Nothing is too much trouble when it comes to her baby. She is his comforter, teacher, and also, his disciplinarian. She has been a full-time middle school teacher in Jefferson Parish for the past eight years. Lisa also makes herself available to her students after school hours. As busy as she is, she finds time to help her mother with her elderly grandmother who has a son with a mental illness! When her father was dying at home with cancer, she was there with her mother taking care of him to the end! She truly deserves recognition!

Thank you mom for nominating me. That was such a nice gesture, and you had such wonderful things to say about me. I know that there are so many moms out there who are so much more deserving of this honor, but I appreciate all your praise, especially coming from such an awesome mother!!!
