Ali is a mom, first. A memory keeper. An entrepreneur. An inspirationalist. Through her memory keeping blog and Web site, Ali shares stories about her everyday world. She deals with being the breadwinner, the mom of two -- one with autism, a creative person and a friend to herself. You'll love the style of her work -- the look, the tone and the compassion to share life with her family and others who are inspired by her.

  • Ali is a one-step-at-a-time entrepreneur. I love how she shares some circles of her everyday, but I also appreciate that there is an approachable professionalism to her entire style. She is a role-model on so many levels. Go Ali!

  • Ali continues to inspire not just my everyday life scrapbooking and memory keeping but my everyday life as well. I have taken her classes at Big Picture and read her blog for several years. I have learned all types of scrapbooking, improved my photography, ignited a passion for sharing stories and am constantly inspired by her life approach. Favorite quotes from Ali: “Don’t make it more complicated than it needs to be” “one thing at a time” “hooray!” lots of hoorays and general kindness to self and others. Hooray for Ali!

  • I’ve had the good fortune to take two workshop classes with Ali. I love and appreciate her “it is okay” and “there’s no right or wrong way to preserve your memories” philosophy. Both of these mantras inspire me not only to continue scrapbooking, but to enjoy the mundane, everyday delights in life. Ali is warm and personable — qualities that come through in everything she does.

    In short, Ali rocks.

  • If you have an inspiration board, Ali’s picture should be a part of it. Ali’s blog is one I visit and nothing seems to be mundane in “Ali’s World.” One can see her love of family, photography, creating memories, and sharing ideas with others. Overall, she is truly an inspiration.

  • I have been a fan of Ali’s forever – at least 8 years – but the “breadwinner”? Her husband is a state representative; a very hard worker and respected man. Aside from that, LOVE HER A LOT. She has inspired me and made me re-evaluate on more than one occasion. Her organic, truthful, honest, creative lifestyle is an inspiration.

  • Ali’s class was a must take for me when CKU came to Minneapolis in 2005. Her website is one I visit daily. Her “eye” constantly has me thinking, “What a great way to record this or that; why didn’t I think of it?” Though not a mom (except to a four footed spoiled furball), I am a high school teacher and Ali’s advice, observations, and experiences are dead-on and extremely helpful.

  • Yes yes yes for Ali E! She’s inspiring and thoughtful without putting pressure on me or making me feel like “I should” or “I oughts”. I appreciate how she generously shares about her life and the lessons she’s learning – yay Ali!

  • Ali’s blog and what she does with it inspires me every day. Hers is more than about scrapbooking, it’s about telling stories from her whole heart and living authentically while telling those stories. She teaches us, by sharing her life, how to take it all in–the good, the bad, the messy, the wish-it-weren’t so.

  • The Moms Who Are Changing Your World…

…Ali is one of those moms! How has she changed MY world? She has reminded me how important telling one’s story is, how getting down the details of daily life, not just the special events, are so important. Many women will share their stories with future generations as a result. That is most definitely changing our world!

    Good luck Ali! Woohoo!

  • By sharing stories of her own life – both good and not so good, Ali is an inspiration to those of us who may sometimes feel our own lives are not quite what we’d expected or hoped for. And amongst other things, she helps us realise and perhaps puts into perspective for us, those things that are most important in life. In short, Ali rocks!
