Hillary Clinton
Hilary Clinton has a lot of experience on her resume — lawyer, First Lady, senator, presidential candidate, secretary of state — but she’s had one consistent job throughout her skyrocketing political career. Despite being very active and successful professionally, Hilary raised one daughter, Chelsea Clinton, in the Arkansas governor’s mansion and the White House. Amidst all of the political work that Hilary did — largely advocating for children, health care, and families — she raised a strong, intelligent, high-achieving daughter in a very public setting and managed to keep her (mostly) out of the press. This is quite the achievement considering that Hilary took on an unprecedented workload as First Lady, and then went on to blow out the ceiling for women as the first female senator from New York State. Her historic campaign for the presidency brought her closer to the office than any woman before. That’s a role model that Chelsea must be proud to call Mom.
