about the contest

Mominations is your chance to give a shout out to a great mom doing good things in the world – and for her to have a chance to win one of ten prizes of $5,000 toward her favorite charity! Nominate the mom you think most deserving in one of these ten categories – education, executive, entrepreneurial, charity, creative, politics, green, activism, inspirational, health/science – and she’ll be entered to win (just be sure to include an email contact for her, an explanation of her service or project, a short description of why she should win, and, if possible, a photo and/or bio). NOTE: Due to tremendous response, we’ve extended the voting deadline by two weeks! Voting now ends on September 20 at 11:59 p.m. EST, and our panel of judges will announce the winners on September 27. Good luck to all! By entering a momination in this contest, you give Babble Media, Inc. the right to reproduce it on Babble.com and any other platform. Each entry will be judged with no gender-, race-, or age-based discrimination. The contest is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia 18 years of age and older. Entrants agree that Babble Media, Inc. has the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from this contest and that all decisions of Babble Media, Inc. are final and binding.

Winners will be notified by email message. All Winners are subject to verification. If any prize or prize correspondence is returned as non-deliverable, prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner. If prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Babble Media, Inc. reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value. If for any reason the contest cannot be run as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest, Babble Media, Inc. reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who is responsible or who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, modify or terminate the contest. This contest is offered only in the United States and is governed by the laws of New York with venue in New York County, New York and all claims must be resolved in the federal or state courts located in New York County, New York.
